Garden Song is a captivating mixed media work exploring surface texture inspired by my garden. Hand-done mono-prints and batiks are fragmented and stitched with various papers and fabric remnants, then assembled and coated with paint and plaster, partially embedding the stitches before layering with wax. The intricate process of this garden inspired fiber art creates a mesmerizing tapestry of colors and textures, culminating in a final assembly mounted on a painted canvas accented with a piece of bamboo.
