20 X 20 .75 Texture batik was created on wrinkled black tissue, first waxing black areas, then bleaching areas to add layers of colored inks and wax. Once wax has been ironed off it was glued to cradled wood panel along with torn cardboard. Additional color was added with oils and encaustic  before heating and buffing to a hard satin finish.
